Designer Nina Tolstrup has brought attention to the bright and immersive installations as a part of the London Design Festival -- dubbed the Pavilions of Wonder, it features three structures. All of these are crafted with inspiration from Barbie's Dreamhouse and the mid-century modern architecture that reigns in Palm Springs.
It is on at the Strand in the big city currently and is done along with the team at Mattel and the tourism agency Visit Greater Palm Springs. Tolstrup explains the process of the installation to Dezeen, sharing "The theme for London Design Festival (LDF) this year is play, we originally were thinking of a fairground. Eventually we went to Palm Springs and studied the amazing houses there."
