Google Announced a new Passwordless Authentication Service

In celebration of World Password Day, which is the first Thursday every May, Google announced an upcoming passwordless authentication service. Google is referring to its service as the future of secure authentication, as it will result in many services being less prone to network security risks. This service will allow users to unlock access to their websites, applications, and other services' accounts, simply by unlocking their device next to another device. For example, unlocking your PC computer while holding your Android phone will validate that you are the user of the computer, and the PC will automatically sign in to applications.

This is more secure as it prevents network intrusions to the services that adopt this authentication system. As Google states, "bad actors will always find a way to uncover what a person knows, but they can't take away a physical object over the internet."
Trend Themes
1. Password-free Authentication - Google's new passwordless authentication service will encourage more services to adopt password-free authentication in order to increase security.
2. Device Verification - The ability to unlock accounts simply by unlocking your device next to another device will become a popular trend for network security.
3. Physical Object Verification - The use of physical objects over the internet as a form of verification will become more common.
