The PaperSeal Shape Tray Replaces Plastic Alternatives

The PaperSeal Shape paperboard tray has been created by Graphic Packaging International in partnership with Elaborados Naturales as a packaging solution targeted towards the chilled potato product market. The packaging is characterized by its round shape that is suited for use in traditional ovens, but also microwaves and even medium-sized air fryers. The tray is meant to replace plastic alternatives and features less than 10% plastic to give it a more sustainable profile, while also being recyclable through household recycling streams.

Head of Sales, Tray & Cup Solutions at Graphic Packaging Pierrick Van Hoorde spoke on the PaperSeal Shape paperboard tray saying, "Our goal is to make transitioning to paperboard trays from plastic trays operationally simple and commercially successful while minimising investment. We want to help brands and retailers meet their sustainability goals, adapt to upcoming legislation, and delight their consumers with packaging that is more circular, more functional, and more convenient. We truly believe that PaperSeal Shape and our whole paperboard tray portfolio are game changers in this regard.
