One company is taking minimalist design to entirely new levels with the creation of a paper torch -- an electronic piece of paper that folds itself into a lamp.
The functional lighting piece was crafted by Japanese design brand Nendo, a company that's no stranger to experimental and creative design. Because of its flexible form, the light can be used as a torch, pendant or desk lamp. The paper torch works through an electronic circuit board that's been printed onto the paper.
In addition to its technological function, the lamp is an adorable and fascinating product, which offers the user brightness control based on how tightly rolled the paper is. As an added bonus, the torch lamp can shine in both cool and warm tones, serving as a reading or all-purpose light source. Photo Credits: designboom, nendo.jp
