The Palace Museum released a cosmetics series that takes inspiration from the beauty of the royal palace and the changing seasons. The cushion compact designs that reference traditional Chinese design and antiques are based off of national treasures that are stored at the Palace Museum. Some of the themes explored in the packaging include durable winter plums, persimmons as a symbol of luck, bamboo and more. The compacts also draw upon specific colors like the red glazed lagenae of the Emperor Kangxi from Lang Yao and the Song Dynasty azure glaze round wash from Ru kiln.
The cosmetics themselves from the Palace Museum are available in four shades and help to hydrate and nourish the skin, as well as leave it looking flawless with either a natural matte or shimmering finish.
