Masakazu Shirane’s 3D Kaleidoscope Sculpture is Immersive

This origami light installation is the work of designer Masakazu Shirane who created the sculpture using 320 geometric forms. The immersive environment is open until June 8th, gracing Vivid Sydney, the Australian city's festival of light.

The event is being held for 18 days and includes various light installations and music performances that will inspire visitors. This particular art piece is an origami light installation that draws visitors in. Resembling a geometric flower, the installation's exterior emits a neon glow of light while its interior is adorned with complex geometries and reflective surfaces.

Once inside, visitors are taken to an otherworldly place and are able to experience a sensory environment that modulates light in an experiential way.
