There are generally very different methods to displaying works of art that are naturally quite dependent on the setting. When it came to the conception of this Open Air Gallery, the designer opted to introduce a collection of objects that would make the presentation of pieces more similar to the way it's done at art galleries indoors.
Marek Harmata came up with an individual wall module that could be installed sturdily and in great numbers along the park pathways of Murau, Austria. They would stand about one foot taller than the viewers' average height and broad enough to accommodate a series of small photographs or a large painting. The Open Air Gallery would enable the showcasing of fine art that's typically too delicate to be exposed by the elements. These display cases feature protective glass panels and built-in spotlights.
