The OPA design studio created a cloud-themed home dubbed the Softie. The studio is led by Luke Ogrydziak and Zoë Prillinger, who aim to create unique designs and change their style as nature is varied and uninhibited.
Softie features plump white walls and undulating ceilings. Located near San Francisco, California, the house appears modern and unassuming on the outside, aside from its cloud-shaped doorstep, which seems to seep out of the house's crevasses. The house acts as a release from the conformities of the outside world to its dwellers. It incorporates a series of unusual, billowing forms into the rooms of the three-floor home. The studio overlaid gently sloping architectural features on top of the home's existing structural shell for a cloud effect.
