Google is making Olympic history by taking Google Street View to all the Olympic Venues. Fans will now be able to see the arenas from an athlete's standpoint.
The partnership between Rio 2016 and Google has provided unprecedented access to views fans have never been able to see before. Through Google Street View, fans will be able to get a 360-degree view of all the Olympic Venues like the stadiums, arenas and pools. Fans will now be able to see what all the Olympians, like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps, see before their events.
All of the views were captured on Google's portable technology, like the 'Trekker' backpack that has 15 cameras attached to it. Google is aiming to have all 37 Olympic venues available for public viewing by the start of the Rio Olympic Games.
