Photographer Olaf Mueller's portfolio is distinguished by a series of day-glo snapshots. Fluorescent pinks, purples and oranges are set against couture apparel and towering models, many of whom are found sporting scintillating blazers, spiky pumps and dark leather accessories.
Mueller's otherworldly vision is easy to pick up on. Beams of unusual light have been captured underwater by the artist, not to mention his focus on ginormous bubbles in the countryside.
Taboo themes are explicitly preferred here, and his embrace of daring if not off-limits sets has been preferred by Hong Kong's INT Club Avantara Gallery, The Opera Gallery and The Cat Street Gallery. His successes in the region have been considerable, perhaps best captured by his 2009 celebrity exhibit which profiled the headlining likes of Sharon Stone.
