The team at TYIN tegnestue and rintala eggertsson architects has created a unique northern Norway work-space. Dubbed the 'fordypningsrommet fleinvaer,' this innovative work-space is the vision of Håvard Lund. The space was designed by both architecture firms and Lund with the goal of building a work-space where artists, musicians and other creatives could rent rooms and spend their time creating art.
The design of the space was done in such a way as to not distrub the rustic beauty of the landscape. In order to accomplish this, the spaces were built to be smaller in volume and to be elevated above the ground. The pathways were meant to steer traffic to and from the buildings while avoiding the sensitive landscape around. The work-space is designed to include several small building with each serving a specific purpose. A sauna, a larger sleeping area, four small sleeping units, a concert room and a canteen are all build purposefully close to one another. This northern Norway work-space is a unique and impressive design that stands as a true testament to landscape-focused architecture. Photo Credits: fubiz.net, designboom
