In today's modern age, where almost everyone is dependent on some form of technology, creative agency Mother London has enlisted the help of addictions specialist and psychotherapist Sarah Hirigoyen in making a short film called 'No Internet Week'. The short documentary provides insight and the experiences of five Internet natives, who are currently living in London, to spend a week living without being online.
The video introduces today's society as an Internet-driven community; the narrator comments on the fact that we are connected to the Web from the moment we wake up until the moment we are in our beds getting ready to sleep. The experiment blocks any form of multimedia such as Internet browsing, e-mails and social networks.
The result is a crippling one that is filled with angst, as we watch the digital natives as they struggle to communicate, browse for news or interact with friends.
