Japanese streetwear icon NIGO recently opened a new exhibition at the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum introducing NIGO's VINTAGE ARCHIVE exhibition. It showcases his vintage possessions and notably, the installation is curated by NIGO himself with the help of Tokyo vintage names of sukimonobook and suntrap. The vintage items include those that have been collected by NIGO throughout his life.
It also highlights heritage apparel as Lee denim is a strong focus of the exhibition. There are displays of Lee pieces such as the Storm Rider Denim Jackets and Rodeo Jeans along with paraphernalia including banners and posters. Other items include colorful pieces of Peanuts Snooper sweaters that are curated in a pyramid shape along with different collegiate items that capture the Ivy style of Japan's fashion history.
