Elegant Exotic Car Museums

Porsche Panache Set in New Stuttgart Showcase

The Porsche Museum in Stuttgart opened to the public on January 31, 2009. The $100 million structure was designed by architects at the Austrian firm Delugan Meissl and is as distinctive as the cars it showcases.

The cars are displayed as fine art pieces. The few that aren’t drivable are suspended from cables or mounted on stands to show off their sensual forms.

I’ve never been much of a Porsche aficionado, but I’d love to go just to see the museum’s architecture. That $28,000 profit on each unit sold has built one very nice auto museum.
