Completion of a 100 year old engineering project finally happened a few days ago. The tunnel between New York and London, called the Telectroscope, allows residents of both cities to peer down the giant brass ends of the tunnel and through a series of mirrors, see the faces of the people at the other end of the tunnel.

Created by artist Paul St George, the device claims to be genuine, although some claim the invention seeks aid from the use of the internet and a web cam. Nonetheless, the installation is lavishly created, and will no doubt capture the imagination of people that visit the tunnel.
