KFC is going beyond fried chicken to offer up a new ooey gooey Cheese Pie over in Japan.
Like many other fast food hand pies, the new dish consists of a flaky, turnover-style pastry crust filled with a hot and gooey filling. But instead of a sweet, fruit-flavored filling on the inside, the new Cheese Pie is stuffed with a melty blend of cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and Camembert cheese.
The new Cheese Pie is being served up alongside the returning Cheese Drenched Chicken Sandwich, which features a crispy-fried chicken filet topped with an even more indulgent blend of cheeses: cheddar, cream cheese, Gouda, Emmental cheese, and Parmesan.
Both of the cheesy offerings are available now for a limited time for participating KFC locations in Japan.
