The sequel to James Cameron’s 1986 Sci-Fi horror masterpiece won’t be coming to a theater near you, but rather is coming in the form of a new Aliens game.
The game is developed by Gearbox Software, the same minds behind the mega-hit Borderlands franchise. What makes this game unique, however, is that the developers worked closely with 20th Century Fox to create a canonical sequel that has the studio’s blessing. Also exciting for the title is the fact that Hollywood scribes Bradley Thompson and David Weddle, as well as original set designer Syd Mead are involved in the project, which should help create an authentic Aliens experience.
The video trailer for the game really shows both the attention to detail to the Aliens universe and the intense gameplay that developers are going for with this new Aliens game.
