Taking the concept of a treehouse to a completely different level designer Gerard Moliné created the Nest House. Produced by Droog Design this hanging chair-turned-playspace is made from stainless steel tube and nylon rope. You can buy synthetic leaves although Droog; the Nest House’s producer encourages setting it up in an actual tree and using real leaves and branches to create your own, unique nest house. It actually looks a little bit like one of those concealed animal traps.
The Nest House was inspired by birds that use the nearest natural resources to design and build their homes. The nest house serves as an observation point, a fun habitat in which you can spend a night or just a really cool place to have a tea party or to launch spit balls. It allows us to perceive and inhabit the natural space of an animal.
