'The Trace' is the name of a new Nendo design furniture collection that includes wiry components that mimic the motions of the furniture's moving pieces.
Items in the furniture collection include everything from a reception counter to a set of cupboards, as well as matching black metal pendants to complement the fixtures.
The designers of Nendo note that we are subconsciously aware of the movement of furniture, doors and windows and "because of that, we do not put a vase in front of a door." The Trace brings more visual awareness to the presence of these moving parts and the change in form that happens when a door is designed to swing out from a certain angle.
