Serving up Sichuan cuisine in a historic setting, China Lane Hot Pot is a Nanjing restaurant has an impressive decor that features various architectural elements suspended from its ceiling. Designed by the Swimming Pool Studios, the new China Lane Hot Pot restaurant was recently opened in the Xingang Development District of Nanjing.
The two-storey restaurant is inspired by the famous China Lane, a cultural and historical landmark in Chengdu where the old flavor of Sichuan cuisine is still appreciated. In drawing on said inspiration, the Nanjing restaurant is filled with nostalgic references that is juxtaposed against the ultramodern reclaimed materials used to create the space. One unique design element is a large tree suspended next to one of the restaurant's long dining tables.
