Facebook users who are also subscribed to Apple Music now have the chance to make use of a new Messenger feature from Apple that provides in-app music recommendation and streaming.
With the Apple Music extension in Messenger, Facebook users may interact with the bot, which will suggest playlists based on emojis sent. For instance, sending the fire icon to the bot will prompt the chatbot to send back a fitting playlist like 'It's Lit!'
Previously, Facebook Messenger users have been able to build collaborative Spotify playlists within group chats and the AI assistant could recommend Spotify songs, but for the first time, Apple Music subscribers may now instantly stream songs in full—non-members are also able to listen, but songs are limited to 30-second snippets.
