Does the form of the Muselette Lamp look at all familiar to you? Perhaps it takes on the appearance of a very different sort of object? Julien Bergignat did indeed base this design off of an unexpected item, being the champagne cork and its wire cage.
Thin pieces of bent metal were used to give the table lamp its shape, crooking outwards towards the top to accommodate its broad lampshade. It was deliberate too that this bottle stopper component should be made of cork material, topping the illuminator off lightly with a modernist touch that's eco-friendly as well. With strong LED lights embedded in the cap, the Muselette Lamp serves as a great reading lamp for a desk or a bedside table.
