This entry for the Pôle Muséal Lausanne project was undertaken by Allied Works with input from Latz+Partner for landscape design, as well as couple of other firms that specialize in cultural planning and civic spaces. The result of an extraordinarily well-conceived cultural hub program is a striking structure that embraces the old industrial site, the existing railroad lines and the location of the Lausanne train station in Switzerland.
Besides merging the greater fabric of the urban environment that surrounds the Musee Cantonal des Beaux-Arts, this remarkable building's sliced envelope merges the inside and outside of the gallery in a monumental and truly magnificent way.
