Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and Prada collaborated on a ground breaking, shape-shifting building project in Seoul, Korea known as the Prada Transformer.
Prada wanted to create a space that would be functional for a variety of events, from film to art to runway shows, and so Koolhaas designed the steel geometric structure to be moved by crane, basically tipped on a different side, to create a whole new space.
The Prada Transformer opened last month where it is currently housing a Prada fashion exhibit. It is scheduled to "transform" to its cinema shape in June, an art space in July, and an event space in September. It is unclear what will become of it after that as it was built as a temporary structure.
