Motorbike Concept from Recycled VCR and PC parts

You really have to see this one to believe it.  At first glance, I even questioned whether the picture was created with the magic of Adobe PhotoShop.

The artist, Alex Andromeda created this model in 1997.  Oddly enough, this idea was generated by the search for symmetrical pieces of metal for the bike frame.  Other non-engine parts of the bike were chosen afterwards.

The engine is an electric DC Motor which powers a belt for the model's rear wheel drive.  However it has only been turned on for demonstration purposes.

This “sculpture” measures 11” x 6” x 4”, while the bulk of the construction comes from recycled computer and VCR parts.

Andromeda has several other futuristic artworks at http://www.alexandromeda.com, although in my opinion, this is the most impressive.
