The 'Moons of Jupiter' project by artist Mike Castator is a collection of planetlike spheres made from scraps of old pieces of metal from previous projects. These scraps, or "droppings" as the artist calls them, have been used to construct dozens of different sphere-shaped objects in a wide variety of sizes.
While the artist prefers to feature the spheres in sets of three at his exhibits, pieces from the 'Moons of Jupiter' collection can be purchased individually and are available on the artist's website. Castator's work has been featured in a number of museums and exhibits including the Walker Fine Art show in Denver and the Winterowd Fine Art show in Sante Fe.
