All-Black High Fashion Runways

Saint Laurent Debuted Dystopian Monochromatic Fashion on the Runway

Parisian high fashion label Saint Laurent is able to somehow stun the audience with its dystopian monochromatic fashion ensembles on the runway. The Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection debuted on the catwalk without so much as a dash of color. Boasting elegantly provocative outfits in all black, Saint Laurent played it safe with the color palette, but experimented with details. From tasseled velvet dresses and sheer embroidered blouses, to lush lace silhouettes and skimpy leather shorts, the Fall 2018 monochromatic fashion designs were definitely captivating by way of color-subdued, yet audacious detail elements.

In addition, while the wide brim hats, concealing the faces of the models, are somewhat reminiscent of a gunslinger who is ready to draw his weapon, the flowy silhouette of the cape is perhaps in some ways derived from a dystopian Blade Runner universe.
