For a growing family, this ultra-modern modular home extension by Modscape is an affordable alternative to moving. In addition to its inherent functionality and budget-friendly demeanor, the partially slated light-filled extension adds to the aesthetic of the contemporary structure with a highly detailed sculptural element.
Design studio Modscape uses Blackbutt wood and Colorbond Diversaclad for the facade. The materials are sourced with regards to methods of sustainability. The modular home extension is comprised of two contrasting elements — a fully-glazed lower floor portion with sliding doors that open up the dining room to the outdoor garden and a partially slated wooden facade that establishes a subtle visual relationship between interior and exterior spaces.
