When it comes to modern vacation homes, the Teph Inlet house in the village of Chester, Nova Scotia is the perfect example. Designed for a young family by Canadian firm Omar Gandhi Architect, the residence is well-defined in its geometry and the use of materials truly puts it in the functional category.
The house layout is spread out on two floors. The point of modern vacation homes is to provide the owners with time away from the busy city, a digital detox and exposure to the surrounding nature. Taking all of this into consideration, Omar Gandhi Architect establishes a fully glazed first floor that reveals breathtaking views of the coast. The second floor is clad in red cedar, providing a sense of privacy for the owners of the dwelling.
