While I certainly was not a fan of Miu Miu’s Fall 2009 collection due to the shapeless potato-sack fashions and disregard for aesthetic beauty or innovation, this line is a cohesive collection of wearable garments that explore today’s fascination with youth culture and loss of innocence.
The Miu Miu Spring 2010 line, designed by Miuccia Prada, was filled with naughty, not-so-subtle references to sex, including a lascivious lounging naked lady print--reminiscent of the SKIN motif plastered over red-necked hockey players vehicles and apparel--and Japanese gothic Lolita dresses.
