Mirrored Cafe Facades

Platform_monsant by Platform_a Reflects Its Natural Surroundings

This mirrored cafe is falling into a growing group of reflective designs. First it was the designs for a new bullet train, then it was a concept to make New York's Central Park appear bigger and now its Platform_monsant, a coffee shop that reflects its gorgeous natural surroundings. And that's the whole point of these designs.

Located on the volcanic island Jeju in South Korea, the mirrored cafe was designed by Korean architecture studio platform_a. What makes the structure stand out all the more -- or not considering its supposed to blend in -- is the use of a huge pivoting door. Inside, the space is at once rustic and modern, which "mirrors" the overall design.
