Burberry has announced the release of a new NFT character called Minny B ahead of NFT.NYC an annual NFT industry event that takes place in New York. Burberry’s Animal Kingdom code inspires Minny B, and the character arrives with a collection of digital accessories that allows consumers to customize its look. Necklaces, boomboxes, and a Shellphone are all available as add-ons to Minny B’s character.
Burberry’s VP of Channel Innovation, Rachel Waller, highlighted the importance of the metaverse in Burberry’s plans. "The metaverse provides limitless opportunities for us to flex our imagination and connect with our customers." She adds, "Luxury is an industry built on fantasy and expression, so in many ways, gaming is a canvas perfectly suited to bringing these dreams to life."
