UK-based retailer size? has revealed new Mexican heritage-honoring sneakers -- the adidas Originals Archive Mexicana 'Cinco de Mayo.' The sneakers take inspiration from the Cinco de Mayo, which translates to the "Fifth of May," marking Mexico's victory over the French Empire in 1862.
The adidas Originals Archive Mexicana Cinco de Mayo collection consists of two pairs in vibrant orange and purple colorways, both with additional red, yellow, and green hues. The uppers are covered in suede and speckles of leather are on to the adidas three stripe branding on the lateral sides and heel counter. There is the Mexicana branding in gold foil on the laterals. Additionally, the sneakers come in gum rubber soles.
The adidas Originals Archive Mexicana 'Cinco de Mayo' will be available via the size? raffle that opens on April 29 and closes on May 5.
