Industrial designer and engineer Assal Hazrati has developed a wrist-worn medication reminding device for Alzheimer's patients.
The Alzheimer's Pillbox, as the device is called, implements a regimented dosing system that alerts the wearer when it's time to take their next pill. The pills are stored in a box attached to the back the of wrist watch for an easy, discrete and fully integrated use.
Hazrati's innovation plays an instrumental role in keeping Alzheimer's patients healthy, but more than that, it gives them a sense of autonomy in terms of their health and daily life. By freeing the users from need of external help, The Alzheimer's Pillbox allow them to go about their day-to-day lives feeling confident and secure.
