The McDonald's France McPlant Nuggets have been launched by the brand at all of its 1,560 restaurants as a vegetarian-friendly menu option created in collaboration with Beyond Meat. The menu item consists of chicken nugget-inspired nuggets that are crafted with pea protein covered in a wheat and cornflour breading before being fried to perfection. The nuggets will be on offer in the same denominations as the McDonald's Chicken McNuggets including four, six, nine and 20 piece orders.
Chief Marketing Officer Jean-Guillaume Bertola commented on the McDonald's France McPlant Nuggets to BFM Business saying, "With Veggie McPlant Nuggets, we are responding to an increasingly strong desire of French consumers who want to vary their protein intake without compromising on pleasure."
