Adalina is an Italian eatery located in Chicago and it has unveiled a special new cocktail that is bound to impress on various fronts: the Marrow Martini hits the menu. It is the most expensive martini in the United States with the price marked at $13,000. The libation is concocted by Colin Hofer, who was also awarded the 2022 Sommelier of the Year by Michelin Guide.
It blends a Clase Azul Mezcal with clarified heirloom tomato water and a touch of lemon basil olive oil. It does not stop there as the presentation is part of the experience, arriving in smoke under a cloche to heighten the smoky notes and topped with a 9-carat diamond tennis necklace from Marrow Fine created using 150 diamonds encrusted in 14-karat gold.
