Whoopi Goldberg is Launching a Marijuana Company for Period Cramps

Actress and television host Whoopi Goldberg recently announced she is starting a medical marijuana company to help women with their period cramps. The comedian spoke to Vanity Fair about her cannabis-incorporating products targeted at alleviating menstrual cramps. She was inspired by the pain her grown-up granddaughters go through.

The marijuana company is being established along with Maya Elisabeth, a leading 'canna-business woman.' Aptly called Maya & Whoopi, the new business will sell weed-infused edibles, tinctures, topical rubs and a relaxing THC bath soak.

Their objective is to provide products that are discreet, relieving and won't leave women bound to their couches during that time of the month. Whoopi explains "For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort."
