Receipt-Inspired Graphic T-Shirts

McDonald's Turns Paper Receipts into the Made to Order Tee

McDonald's Sweden introduced a new shirt dubbed 'Made to Order' and the fast food chain allowed fans to turn their signature order into custom merchandise. The shirt is a personal touch as a receipt with a customer's order is printed on top of a 'Made to Order' paper white tee. This is a playful initiative that was launched as a part of a summer festival tour, during which the team installed ordering kiosks that printed the order right onto a tee.

After customers select their meals, they can watch the printing process -- this is also a uniquely immersive experience. Copywriter at NORD DDB, the ad agency behind the activation, Fabian Luthander shares, "Orders at McDonald's can be quite specific and unique. Every item on the menu has its own loyal fan base, just like musicians. That’s why it felt fun to focus on an expression that has united all types of fans worldwide for decades—merch
