At about 65 years old, the rich brew is made from single malt Scotch with sherry-seasoned Spanish oak.
Whiskey aside, the Lalique decanter itself is made of crystal with the artisan technique of "cire perdue" or "lost wax." The Macallan in Lalique Cire Perdue is a palatial bottle modeled on a 1820s decanter, decorated with designs inspired by the Macallan Scottish estate.
