These strange and mesmerizing photos of bizarrely dressed children wandering through a foggy woodland are enough to send shivers to my bones. They are the outcome of collaboration between two Swedish women, Sandra Backlund and Denise Grunstein.
Sandra Backlund’s experimental knitted garments are as much about sculpture as they are about style. The lumpy knitwear and ethereal setting are frightfully spine-chilling under photographer, Denise Grunstein’s spell.
The photographs are some of Grunstein’s ‘editorial’ works, not all of which feature Backlund’s garments.
