Banff Sunshine Village Gears Up to Debut the Super Angel Luxury Chairlift

Banff Sunshine Village is set to introduce the Super Angel luxury chairlift for the 2025 winter season. This new amenity was developed by Leitner-Poma and is positioned to be the first EVO six-passenger chairlift in North America to offer heated seats and other luxury features.

The Super Angel chairlift incorporates EVO technology, a direct drive system that eliminates the need for traditional gearboxes, providing a quieter and smoother ride. Construction for the lift began in May 2024, and it will be operational by November 2025.

The Super Angel luxury chairlift replaces the aging Angel Express, which has been in operation for 35 years. The comfort that the heated bucket seats, footrests, and protective bubble cover will offer is sure to appeal to Banff Sunshine Village guests.
