Rick Owens introduces his latest collection dubbed LUXOR designed specifically for the Fall/Winter 2023 season and it is marked with "REDUCED ARCHITECTURAL SHAPES WITH A WHIFF OF SLEAZY SEVENTIES PSEUDO-MYSTICISM" as the focus of the design. The show was filled with fog as guests took seats on metal benches and experienced an elevated brutalist runway that opened with Tyrone Dyland Susman.
Some of the names in attendance include "Michèle Lamy, Usher, David Beckham, and J Balvin." The designer speaks about the approach to the collection and comments on how life is today, stating that "THERE IS A BITTERNESS TO CREATING A COLLECTION DURING A WAR — A DESIRE TO CONTRIBUTE OUR SOMBRE BEST IN AN INDUSTRY THAT MUST REMAIN STALWART, BUT WITH A SENSE OF FRUSTRATION THAT NOTHING IS ENOUGH."
