L.S Design is the brainpower behind the new cozy retreat located in Verbier, Switzerland. The Dubai-based architecture firm designed the private house along a secluded ridge. The house combines modern design elements with a comfortable feel.
The modern chalet is designed with concrete windbreakers protecting one side of the house from the elements. On the other side of the house, there is a wall of windows that feature self-heating glass to keep them clear of snow and ice throughout the winter months. This ensures that the picturesque view from the house remains undisrupted. In addition, the architects on the project utilized innovative materials and technologies for an eco-friendly design. Thermal heating is used to heat the interior to 24 degrees Celsius without using much energy.
