Designer Wasted Rita has created a series of extremely honest love letters beginning with the phrase "It’s not you." Written on torn pieces of pink paper, the love notes play on the classic phrase "It’s not you, it’s me." Each letter is written in Rita’s signature messy scrawl with different combinations of circling, underlining and crossing out.
Though some of the letters imply that the writer is discontent with her relationship, many of the phrases imply that the writer is very content. While "it’s not you, it’s everything you are NOT" can be interpreted as negative, "it’s not you, it’s all the bad bad things I want to whisper in your ear" is certainly a positive statement. Rita’s many plays on the classic breakup phrase certainly gives a new meaning to "It’s not you, it’s me."
