'GCDS,' lengthened to 'God Can't Destroy Streetwear,' dropped a logo-heavy lookbook titled 'The Holy Crew' in time to promote the offerings from its 2016 Fall/Winter range.
Set in a Victorian mansion, the photo series shows subjects perched atop luxurious vintage chairs, in front of artful murals and with the slowing decaying roof that's above them. By using the Victorian mansion as its setting, the GCDS lookbook does well in contrasting the modern logo-heavy styles with a unique backdrop. As models are shown interacting with the home and the many furnishings inside, the clothing they wear is made to standout as a result.
Each of the pieces is clearly marked by the brand with the inclusion of its acronym all over -- with some showing it as a band-like pattern and others showing it sprawled over the fronts and backs of apparel. In addition, GCDS uses provocative slogans in its designs as well, helping to target rebellious youth.
