'Olli' is the name of an innovative new Local Motors car that combines some of the most cutting-edge technologies out there—3D printing, autonomous controls, IoT and cognitive learning.
The supercomputer-powered shuttle bus has room for up to 12 passengers and offers a "smart, safe and sustainable" transportation solution to the public. Under the hood, the IBM Watson Internet of Things (IoT) for Automotive system makes it possible for the vehicle to use a cloud-based computing system to collect and analyze a variety of transportation data. Passengers are also be able to ask Olli questions with natural language and have them answered by the intelligent IBM Watson system.
Over the summer, people will be able to interact with Olli at the National Harbor waterfront in Washington DC.
