LimeWire is Re-Launching as an NFT and Cryptocurrency Marketplace

'LimeWire,' the online music sharing platform from the early 2000s, has announced that it is re-launching as an NFT marketplace with its own 'LMWR' cryptocurrency. Users can preregister for the LimeWire marketplace on its website for a chance to receive one of its 10,000 exclusive NFTs. This giveaway will not be random, but rather it is a gamified competition.

When a user registers on the website they will receive a referral code. Then, based on how many other users sign up with that referral code, the user will receive points. At the end of the event, the 10,000 users with the most points will be given an exclusive NFT.

On top of these exclusive NFTs, LimeWire has announced that it will release the LMWR public crypto-token in Q4 of 2022. Prior to the public release of this token there will be an early access period where only the 10,000 NFT owners can purchase the token.
