Champions League finalist Liverpool FC has partnered with Nivea for a mental health awareness ad. The minute-long commercial targets men and the mental challenges they face and are scared to talk about.
In this campaign, Liverpool players Joe Gomes, Caoimhín Kelleher, and Adrián touch on their battles dealing with mental health, anxiety, and depression. They share that it is tough to share your feelings and thoughts with others as a man. Sharing these feelings can be seen as a weakness, and often times men have to act like they are having a good time even when they are suffering internally.
Together Liverpool Fc and Nivea have developed a charity Talk Club for men. "This campaign started with a message for men to show they don’t have to walk a solitary path when dealing with mental health. With the help of Talk Club and Liverpool FC players, we’re pleased to be able to offer a practical solution and tools to help them have those conversations and take care of their mental health " said Nivea Men senior brand manager Emily Marcham.
