This Limited-Edition Absolut Vodka Bottle Highlights Recycling

A new limited-edition Absolut Vodka bottle has been created by the Ardagh Group as an artistic packaging design that highlights a recycled aesthetic. The bottle is characterized by its fractured design, which is achieved using pieces of broken glass in order to draw attention to the recycled nature of the packaging itself. The bottle is titled the 'Absolut Comeback' by the designers and was achieved using reverse engineering.

Product designer John Oczabruk spoke on the limited-edition Absolut Vodka bottle saying, "Because this is a completely original bottle design, we first needed to create a sculpture by attaching pieces of recycled Absolut bottle glass to a 3D print of an Absolut bottle, to maintain the bottle’s iconic look and shape. The reverse engineering began by digitally scanning the sculpture into our modeling system, then reconstructing the design to work smoothly in production."
