In order to make their library card design more appealing, the Burbank Public Library is using pop culture figures to print on their cards. This includes a issuing a limited edition Adventure Time library card as well as ones with appearances from Dora the Explorer and the Regular Show. In addition to characters from beloved children's television shows, other library card designs are inspired by the library's rich historical past and have old pictures on them.
The new card looks are also part of the City of Burbank's initiative to celebrate the public library's 100 year anniversary. While the new images are on one side of the card, the back side has your bar code and personal information. As Neatorama puts it, "it's always adventure time when you have a library card!"
